craig kelly is my copilot.

That's the title I gave this portrait by Yuske Hirota.
The portrait is CK's first splitboard.  The significance of this specific board to Craig, and snowboarding as a whole, can't be overstated. We first saw this portrait on display at a photo exhibition in southern Japan. After the exhibition, Yuske sent us this portrait as a special gift.
(THANKS YUSKE!!)

Yuske is a very telented professional photographer, and a professional mountain guide.

Yuske and Shoji Matsumoto have a guiding company Fugi-Yama Guides together. Yuske is also working in the winter, guiding for Baldface Lodge.

Yuske with all his dux in a row..
See you soon Yuske!

Project 2009 CRF450R

DINGDINGDING!
Just picked up a big box 'o FUN from Holeshot Motorsports!
The 2009 Honda CRF450R has gone to the next level. New frame, new suspension, and a new motor with Electronic Fuel Injection (You can now 'tune' the engine map on this bike with a laptop). A very trick piece of kit indeed. Rounding up many custom parts to transform this into the ultimate motocrosser. Will be posting more throughout the building process..

Heli-boarding Bella Coola with RECCO Sven.

Dropping into the Bella Coola valley in the smallest
commercial turbo-prop ever.

Our destination: Tweedsmuir Park Lodge, home of Bella Coola Heli Sports
and Peter Mattsson - better known as 'the Swede'. Although, I was with
another 4 'Swedes' - and you know what happens when 5 Swedes get together
in the mountains with a fully stocked bar.

Sune Sund doing what he does best.

We had really challenging conditions. Breakable crust and ice
on the surface combined with deep instability in the snowpack.
Very unusual conditions for the Coast Mountains.

TR and Sven out working.

Really big terrain in Bella Coola. Will be back as soon as it's deep and stable.
Fortunately the Swede is also all about good food and drink, so we survived.

The lodge and the cabins are super comfortable, and the service
is excellent.

Sven wondering where business class is. Watch your head..
Better luck next time.

Mclaren SLR 722

650 hp supercharged 5.5L V8.

The 722 edition SLR is reference to the Mille Miglia victory by Sterling Moss
in the Mercedes 300 SLR in 1955.

1955 Mercedes 300 SL gullwing. One of the coolest
vintage cars of all time.

The last version of the SLR to be produced is the Sterling Moss
edition, which clearly takes inspiration from the original 300 SLR.
Only 75 to be built as 2010 model.

TR, HF, Sanna in Tokyo.

S.L.R. yo. The Real Batmobile.

New splitboard bindings.

I haven't seen these yet, but they warrant further investigation. The idea was to develop a lower profile split-board binding, so the baseplate sits closer to the board. Innovative thinking from a small company out of Bozeman, Montucky.
